Filter Modules - Lowpass, Highpass, Bandpass, Notch and Specials. Fixed and Programmable frequencies.

For many years Kemo has produced an extensive range of electronic filter modules. Fixed frequency, resistor set, programmable, and 'A' weighting. This range has been updated, and a standard range are now held in stock.
Like all of our products we use high tolerance, high quality components and the latest manufacturing methods to produce quality, consistent filter modules.
Frequency - A range of modules covering the range DC - 1 MHz
Matching between filter modules depends on frequency, filter response and other factors, but typical figures of +/- 0.1 dB , and +/- 1 degree of phase, in the passband are usual. In some cases we are measuring differences between filter modules of milli dB!
Kemo filter modules are continuous time filters, we DO NOT use switched capacitor techniques, and our filter modules do not use any clock signals. It is important to remember that switching techniques in filtering have limitations, they have their own aliasing characteristics, and can have had greater unwanted influences on signals.
Technical details, including pin outs, layouts and typical application circuits are available at the Filter Modules Connection Details section.

We try to keep a range of Standard Filter Responses in stock, these include:-

Butterworth 24 dB/Octave (4 pole) (05) 48 dB/Octave (8 pole) (03) Kemo Extensive range of filter modules
Bessel 24 dB/Octave (4 pole) (09) 48 dB/Octave (8 pole) (07)
Anti-aliasing (01) > -80 dB at 1.5 times cut off Flat to cut off
General Purpose (41) > -80 dB at 3 times cut off Flat to cut off, linear phase
Notch (NQ10) Q = 10 Sharp notch optimised for 50 or 60 Hz

Bandpass filters - due to the extremely wide range of requirements for bandpass filtering we usually recommend that bandpass filters are made using a highpass filter module and a lowpass filter module in series. This gives a highly flexible approach, able to meet most users needs.
Specialist filter modules - ISO 2631, and 1/3rd Octave bandpass are among the 'specials' we can make to order.

We have a range of Filter Cards which are designed for use with our filter modules:-
CardMaster 1
- standalone single channel,  CardMaster 21.2 - dual channel rack mounted,
CardMaster 21.255G - single channel rack mounted with gain and signal level indication.
